While the government and judiciary go through struggles which are limiting tourism in Wildlife Parks throughout India, there are gems yet to be discovered. Little tourist pressure and great sightings are still to be found. I have just had the chance to visit Tadoba Park - and this location is one that we will be recommending to clients from now on ..... Tigers !!! , yes .... during my stay in the last few days virtually everyone saw tigers every day .... Tadoba ... a yet to be discovered gem in the Indian

It's getting harder and harder to find rhino in the wild as poaching is definitely on the increase. It seems that over 600 rhino were poached in South Africa in 2012 - a staggering increase over the previous year. In India, Kaziranga National Park has lost 5 rhino in the month of January (2013). While it is still possible to see truly wild rhino, the options of where to go are slimming and so are the numbers of these remarkable animals. 2013 is turning out to be one of the busiest years for tourism in Africa, with many areas being heavily booked throughout the year.
Just to top it off, Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) is hosting the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Congress this year and for many months the facilities are almost totally booked out. |
