National travel reforms affecting the licensing of travel agents commenced on 1 July 2014. Travel agents are no longer required to have a state licence or membership of the Travel Compensation Fund.
As part of the national travel reforms, a new AFTA Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS) has been developed to assist travel agents and consumers.
Under the previous scheme, Wildlife Safari Consultants & Journeys Unlimited were Licenced Travel Agencies (2TA3893). In keeping with the move by all State Governments in Australia to shift to industry self-regulation, we have now become an ATAS Accredited Travel Agency (A10551).
